It’s Veterans Day. My maverick military mother was chosen to decide if planes were ready to fly from the Florida coast during WWII. It was a great responsibility for a woman at that time and still. War is a terrible thing. The best way to express my concerns about the world at this time is to share some of the writing I've published about her over many years since she died.
