The world has lost profoundly gifted songwriter/singer Leonard Cohen whose music eased the personal, social, political, and spiritual tribulation of global generations.
This from his facebook page: "With profound sorrow we... have lost one of music's most revered and prolific visionaries."
For one of his many memorable performances, filmed on Isle of Wight, he had to wait until long after midnight to perform. Yet he appeared so relaxed compared to the other performers -- as if he had been meditating, which he was known for. Some of his many unforgettable songs include "Sisters of Mercy," "Bird on a Wire," "Hallelujah," "Tower of Song," "Everybody Knows." He continued to perform until recently. I can't think "Rest in Peace": His transcendent spirit was already at peace, even though he saw and knew almost too much.
