Similarly, too many affluent, and even middle class individuals seem oblivious to the depth of our poverty, or the number of Americans one paycheck from destitution.
On this point, Trump has prevailed, which helped pave his way to the presidency.
We need to understand some of the reasons people voted for Trump. Yet we are given every other reason but the simple fact of the economy.

My concerns about Donald Trump in general aren't a secret, but there is no way of disagreeing with the absolute truth of how hard people are struggling, and his ability to pinpoint intractable adversity.
