"Non tutti i mali
vengono per nuocere." An Italian man gave me this quote once when I was very ill and living in a strange desert. It means "Not all bad things come to hurt." Spanish: "No hay mal que por bien no venga." "There's no bad from which good doesn't come." "Every cloud must have a silver lining" is the English version. I know it won't help those who have lost loved ones or are very ill. But sometimes hanging onto these wise, generations old statements can help us through difficult times.
