The DeLorean gull wings* opened, and I climbed for the first time into a Tesla X. There was a container beside Kou, the driver who offered me a choice of water, soda, candy. I felt myself relaxing immediately.
According to Neuro-Psychologist Rick Hanson, we need "many repetitions" of comfort to feel safe and protected during difficult times. The more stressed and worried we are, the more we need to soothe our souls and bodies with as much comfort, beauty, and if possible - luxury as we can. It will help us immediately relax and will prevent the damage stress causes us physically as well as mentally. He calls this "Feeding the Lizard," the part of us that feels overpowered by trouble. Oh, and that was an Uber ride and a complete surprise. Most Uber rides are not like that:)
(*Tesla calls them "falcon wings")
