Since solar panels were removed from the White House under Ronald Reagan's orders, and SUVs repopulated crowded roads during the Bush Administration, we have come a long way to return to where we were. We won't turn back although significant obstacles have been thrown in our paths. Trees are being planted, and those who cut them down to survive are being taught alternatives to destroying our life-sustaining, oxygen-providing forests. But so much more education is imperative, including to slow the pervasive use of dangerous pesticides and chemicals.
