Now that absolute power has dismissed both the Vindman brothers, as well as Gordon Sondland, who contributed a million dollars to his inauguration; and the economy is supposedly booming (although not for most of us), and authorities are chosen by our demographics (Caucasian, Spanish, gay, straight, celebrity, etc), the US teeters on a precarious knife-edge. But most of us are too overwhelmed with opinion, fear and implicit bias to know what to do.
“By firing Lt. Col. Vindman and Ambassador Sondland like this, the Trump administration signaled it won’t tolerate people who tell the truth,” Senator Jack Reed, Democrat of Rhode Island,{and Republicans} said on Saturday. “The fact that Lt. Col. Vindman’s brother was also removed from the N.S.C., as well as the transfer of Ms. Williams from Vice President Pence’s staff, are signals that the president places blind loyalty above all else, including testimony under oath.” - New York Times
