Climate Change Imperatives vs the Working Poor

Prime Minister Sunak, who is nearly a billionaire, is considering a postponement of UK's ban on new diesel and oil cars. There may be growing government realization about the vast numbers of working class/working poor for whom these cars are unaffordable. But the UK and US 100% carbon-free timeline would still be 2035. (I can't help but state that if the many oil-wealthy climate-deniers had listened to all of us trying for decades to address climate change, we would not be in this sudden frantic rush.)
