Every time we vote "Drill, Baby, Drill" we choose more hurricanes, fires, disease. Carbon pollution warms the ocean along with the rest of earth's environment, and warmer oceans mean more severe storms. But do we want to change this? Larger vehicles cause greater pollution - from how they are made to additional fuel they burn. Those of us who have lived longer have watched environments change. Warnings have gone out for years. Michael Mann, distinguished environmental scientist, describes fossil fuel corporations' 30 year "campaign to...delay action on climate change" in his book The New Climate War. Each of our votes is a vote for or against this planet's future.
